As we move deeper into the season, we want to ensure that every athlete and every team is set up for success. To support efficient, focused, and productive practices, we are reinforcing the following expectations for all players across the club.

1. Arrive Early and Be Ready to Start on Time
Players are expected to arrive at the practice facility at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.
This time allows athletes to:
• Change shoes
• Use the restroom
• Complete any pre-practice warm-ups
• Be fully prepared to begin right at the scheduled start

For example, if practice begins at 7:30 PM, athletes should be inside the gym and ready to go by 7:15 PM.

2. Notify Coaches If You Are Running Late
If a player is running late due to traffic, school obligations, or unexpected delays, please notify your coach as soon as possible through text or your team’s communication channel (TeamSnap, GroupMe, etc.). This helps coaches adjust practice plans as needed.

3. Attendance Is Essential
Consistent attendance is a critical part of player development and team success. Missing practice affects:
• Individual skill development
• Team systems, chemistry, and communication
• Fair and accurate evaluation for playing time and roles

If you know in advance that your athlete will miss practice due to illness, academics, or family commitments, please communicate this to the coach ahead of time whenever possible.

Thank you for your partnership, commitment, and support in helping us maintain a strong and professional training environment for all of our athletes. Together, we can ensure that every player receives the best development experience possible at Bay Area Eagles Volleyball.

Respectfully,
Coach Oliver
